Sixth mobility and Transnational Meeting in Greece 7-11 May 2018


The Comprehensive Institute of San Fele – Secondary  School  participated to the sixth transnational mobility of the ERASMUS + PRET A PET Project
 in Greece from 7 to 11 May 2018, at “ ΕΣΠΕΡΙΝΟ ΓΥΜΝΑΣΙΟ ΚΑΙ ΛΥΚΕΙΑΚΕΣ ΤΑΞΕΙΣ ΤΡΙΚΑΛΩΝΚΟΝΔΥΛΗ ΤΕΡΜΑ”  –ΤΡΙΚΑΛΑ – GREECE.



The mobility in Trikala – Greece included the presence of 4 teachers , the headmaster and 6 students of the classes II D and II F (M. G. GAMMA, A. MAZILU, A. TOZZI, A.  PITTARO, A. P. ROMANO, A. PIERRI). The students were  accompanied by the School Manager L. Rispoli, the coordinator of the project F. Petruzzelli  and the teachers, M. Pierri , C. Zappacosta and V. Urbino.





During this last mobility  various workshops  were organized and carried out by teachers and students:
 “Tails up for Happy Feet”  choreography
 “The Sixth Wall of Friendship”
   The “Treasure Hunt”
  Visit  of an organization (which takes care of people with special need)  to share the Digital                   Book and the Emotional First Aid Kit
 “The empty space game”
   The intercultural night and  certificates.










Our students carried out all the activities  with great enthusiasm and collaboration spirit,  developing their curiosity and attention to the defence of the environment. They increased their comunicative, interactive and digital skills; English was the language used.
The first day our students  with  other groups of students performed by the sea the choreography for the flash mob; they won the competition as the best choreography.



The ”Empty space” game activity was realized by the students in mixed groups (not per country). They worked on topic “food chain”.The topic was about human’s negative intervention to the food chain and the problems that this intervention create. The last part was about our actions (personal, social or political) concerning the protection of the food chain.





The week spent  in Greece  included other activities too :
·        the visit of  Partenone in Athens;
·        the visit to the  school  and  the  meeting with the Mayor of Trikala;
·        the cultural visits  of the most important historical, artistic and monumental places  of the city of Trikala ( Museum of Tsitsani, Mosque,  Central bridge Asklipeiion,  Mepropolitan church,  Castle, Varousi);
·        the Visit of  Meteora with its  two Monasteries and  the Natural History  Museum;
·        the visit  of  Kalambaka;
·        the Visit of Pyli, the Stone Bridge and the Waterfalls.






 For  the intercultural evening, every country had a stand, showing the most important and repreventative objects and products of their culture and tradition.


Our students presented the flash mob  choreography which won the competiton.  Everything was done in a  climate of friendship, cheerfulness and conviviality.





This stay allowed us to enjoy the beauty of new places, we found hospitality, friendliness and new friendships, we all enriched ourselves.


In their journals, the students said that it was a gerat and interesting experience:
visit to a European country, meeting of peers from other nationalities, communication in English, discovery of new cultures and traditions, sharing  opinions with other peers about the protection of the environment and animals.
This was the last meeting  of “PRET-A-PET” and, at the end of the project,  we can say that every meeting, gave us the opportunity to know and  confront us with new realities, appreciating the different cultures and ways of life, in a spirit of understanding, acceptance, tolerance and friendship.



The experience of this project was  a great growth for each of us.
We hope to do other European Erasmus+ Projects in the future, we think  that sharing and comparing with people from other countries create a positive development in every field of knowledge.

Meeting in Turkey


                             
FIFTH MOBILITY AND TRANSATIONAL MEETING IN TURKEY 4 – 10 MARCH



The Comprehensive Institute of San Fele Secondary School took part to the fifth transational mobility of the ERASMUS + PRET A PET project in Turkey from the 4th to the 10th of March 2018 at “ Ismet Inonu Mesleki ve Teknic Anadolu Lises” school in Manisa. The mobility included the presence of 3 teachers and 3 students: Pizzirusso Michela and Simone Francesco Gerardo from Class III F and Russo Federica from Class II D accompanied by the headmaster prof. Rispoli Lorenzo and two teachers Pierri Mirella and Ferrara Rosa. The main aim of the project “Pret a pet” is to educate students to the respect and the protection of the enviroment and animals. The host school has organized different workshops, seminaries and activities that had involved teachers and students from the different patners schools.


·         Book Production Line “Pret a pet story” this activity started in December with an on line story competition in which students created an e-chained story about an animal, the little cat Kitty, the work had been done in class with the help of the English teacher and lasted 6 weeks. The result of the weakly on line competition was the Story of Kitty and as final task students produced some draws and illustrations about the story.


    
·         Sensory Bin Exhibition this activity had been done in class with the help of the Art teacher students created a box containing natural elements, small toys about Kitty’s story and they brought it to the exhibition in Manisa.
 




 

·         Trasure hunt a knowledge rally in which teams of students took part to a funny treasure hunt in a Natural Reserve park.

  

·         National Receipe videos activity that involved teachers and students in the preaparation of a regional receipe; Italian team prepared and cooked “Pasta with breadcrumbs and dried peppers”.
   


The fifth wall of friendship titled “Map of feelings”




·         Forum Teathre activity about “Bullying” and how to help people to find a solution to psychological problems in different situations: bullyng at school; in family and at job.
·         Visiting the “ Sevgi Evi Orphan House
Our students took part with interest and curiosity to all the activities in a spirit of collaboration and enthusiasm. They produced some draws, they illustrated a digital presentation (ppt) of their own Country, Town, school and personal interests. The mobility in Turkey also included:
-      A guided tour to the archeological site of Ephesus and to the Virgin Mary’s House;
-      Visit to the city of Izmir and Kusadasi area;
-      Visit to an old Hamman in Manisa
-      Visit to a Mosque
-      Intercultural evening with stands of the tipical products, brochures of the patners countries sharing moments of dances, songs, and happiness together.
In their travel reports our students described this mobility as a wonderfull experience for many reasons:
It was their first fligth by plane
They had the opportunity to know a different scholar system and meet new friends
They had the chance to talk in English
They had discovered new culture and tradition and also they had fun with their peers from different Countires.

Meeting in Romania

                                           PROGETTO ERASMUS + KA219 2016/18

           FOURTH MOBILITY AND TRANSNATIONAL MEETING IN ROMANIA
 
 
The Comprehensive Institute of San Fele – secondary  School  participated to the fourth transnational mobility of the ERASMUS + PRET A PET project

 in Romania from 15 to 21 October 2017, at the ANTON PANN school in Ramnicu Valcea.

The mobility in Romania included the presence of 4 Teachers and 4 students of Class III D and III E (De Bellis S., Pierri MF, Luisi A., Repole E.),  accompanied by the School Manager L. Rispoli, the coordinator of the project F. Petruzzelli  and the two teachers, M. Pierri and F. Ferraro.

 




 
During this mobility  various workshops and seminars were organized and carried out by teachers and students:

Seminar on assertive communication;

Recycling is Re-creative! "Share-a-smile"campaign, a creative workshop;

ABC-Animal Debate Seminar;

Theater's reader: Teaching/Learning the tolerance to re-act;

Labyrint of Emotions: The Human Inside out- in the town center;

The Fourth Wall of Friendship.

 





 

Our students, with enthusiasm and interest, participated to all the activities, developing their curiosity and attention to nature, with increased collaboration spirit, increasing their communicative and interactive skills in English and their skills digital. They also illustrated:

a digital presentation (Ppt) on the country, region, school,  hobbies  and favourite animals;

 a Ppt on the "Business Activity" and the results of the "Solidarity Market" in favour  of the animals in need;

they  participated with their classes at the international competition "Short film competition", for the creation of a story about "human-animal-environment empathy" which was represented and filmed.

 


 

The stay in Romania has included other activities too :

the visit to the  school “Anton Pann”  and  official ceremony with the presentation of the schools of the 5 countries; meetings with the local authorities, the Mayor, the Minister of Education of the City of Valcea;

cultural visits  of the most important historical, artistic and monumental places of the capital Bucharest and of the Parliament Palace;

visit of the "Hippodrome Center";

visit  of Ramnicu Valcea and its Town Hall;

visit of the medieval city of Sibiu.

There were also moments of reflection and study about the activities to be carried out in the next stages of the project.

In the intercultural evening, stands were set up where the hosted countries showed the most important aspects of their culture with the display of products and brochures.

Our students wore the traditional Sanfelese clothes and then presented a modern choreography. Everything was done in a climate of friendship, cheerfulness and conviviality.

 




 

 
This stay has allowed us to appreciate the beauty of new places, finding hospitality, friendliness and new friendships, so that the culture and the human experience of each one has grown and enriched.

In their travel diaries, the pupils have described this experience as “unforgettable” for various reasons:

first flight by plane and visit to a European country;

 knowledge of peers from other nationalities;

communication in English;

the discovery of new cultures and traditions;

 sharing  opinions with other peers about the protection of animals.

This meeting  allowed us to know and  confront us with new realities, appreciating the different cultures and ways of life of the twin countries, with a spirit of understanding, acceptance, tolerance and friendship.

Surely this growth will continue in the next meetings: Turkey (4-10 March), Greece (May 7-12).
